Super Robot Wars X Guide: Participating Series and Units at a Glance

Units and Map Icons by Series

The list starts with Banpresto Original (X Original · Masou Kishin) and groups participating series by franchise. As mentioned above, the TV and movie versions of one series are separate groups, so if you cannot find the unit you are looking for, check the neighboring groups of the same series. Clicking a unit name or image takes you to this site's unit article, and clicking a pilot name takes you to the pilot article (where one exists).

To find your favorite series in Super Robot Wars X, start by separating the official list of participating series from the special guest unit. The list below is not just a table of obtainable allies. It is organized by series, grouping enemies, bosses, ships, and transformed and combined forms so you can check each unit's appearance and name together.

Combat and Series Scope in X

X is a simulation RPG in which you field units and characters from different robot series as a single force. The official Steam description introduces X as a game set in the other world of Al-Worth, where robots gather in one place beyond the boundaries of their series. Official base game overview

The participating series list on the official Japanese website has 23 series. It counts Aura Battler Dunbine and New Story of Aura Battler Dunbine, Char's Counterattack and Beltorchika's Children, Buddy Complex and its finale, and Gurren Lagann and its movie Lagann-hen each separately. The list below also groups these titles separately. Official participating series list

Apart from this list, the official website introduces the Cybaster from Masou Kishin THE LORD OF ELEMENTAL and its pilot Masaki as a special guest. In the list, they sit under Banpresto Original alongside X's protagonist units. Official special guest introduction

The number of series at the top of the list is higher than the official count of participating series (23) because these Banpresto Original groups and the Dynamic Planning Original units, to which the Mazin Emperor G is assigned, are each grouped as one series. In some cases, as with Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger, units are grouped separately under the original work they belong to.

How to Tell the Base Game from Additional Content

• Base game: The official Japanese website gives the release date of the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita versions as March 29, 2018, and also lists Nintendo Switch and Steam among the supported platforms. Official website specs
• Steam version bonus scenarios: The Steam version includes in the base game a total of 20 bonus scenarios that were released separately for the other platforms. Official base game overview
• Replay Support Pack: An additional-episode product on Steam. The official description lists the bonus scenarios 'Dark Clouds Loom Out of Sight' and 'Malice Out of Sight, Surpassed' and clear rewards (Power Parts, funds, TacP); it does not mention any added series or units. No unit in the X list carries an additional-content badge. The additional content described in the official descriptions of the products above is scenarios and rewards.
