Super Robot Wars V Guide: Participating Series and Units at a Glance

Units and Map Icons by Series

The list starts with Banpresto Original (V Original · OG) and groups participating series by franchise. As mentioned above, the TV, movie, and novel versions of one series are separate groups, so if you cannot find the unit you are looking for, check the neighboring groups of the same series. Clicking a unit name or image takes you to this site's unit article, and clicking a pilot name takes you to the pilot article (where one exists).

To find your favorite series in Super Robot Wars V, start by looking at how the official list of participating series divides and counts the titles. The list below is not just a table of obtainable allies. It is organized by series, grouping enemies, bosses, ships, and transformed and combined forms so you can check each unit's appearance and name together.

Combat and Series Scope in V

V is a simulation RPG in which you field units and characters from different robot series as a single force. The official Steam description introduces V as the Super Robot Wars 25th anniversary title, with an original story that is complete in this game alone. Official base game overview

There are 26 official participating series. The list on the official Japanese website counts Crossbone Gundam as the original, Skull Heart, and The Steel Seven; Full Metal Panic! as three TV series plus the original novels; and Rebuild of Evangelion as 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0, each separately. The list below also groups these titles separately. Official participating series list

The number of series at the top of the list is higher than the official count of participating series (26). This is because Banpresto Original, which holds V's protagonist units along with the Grungust and Huckebein, and the Dynamic Planning Original units, to which the Mazin Emperor G and Shin Getter Dragon are assigned, are each grouped as one series. In some cases, as with Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger, units are grouped separately under the original work they belong to.

• Steam version bonus scenarios: The Steam version includes in the base game a total of 20 bonus scenarios that were sold separately for the other platforms. Official base game overview
• Replay Support Pack: An additional-episode product on Steam. The official description lists the bonus scenarios "Impending Departure" and "A Letter to Tatsu" and clear rewards (enhancement parts, funds, TacP); it does not mention any added series or units. Official Replay Support Pack description
• Early-purchase bonus: The official Japanese website's page on the Nintendo Switch and Steam versions introduces the Grungust and Huckebein as units that can be used early through the bonus, and notes that both also become available as the game progresses. Switch and Steam version information

No unit in the V list carries an additional-content badge. The additional content described in the official descriptions of the products above is scenarios and rewards.
