Scope of this article

Scope: the Super Robot Wars MX base game. The platform and release date follow the official Super Robot Wars lineup, and the unit names, forms, and placement in the roster follow material researched by the site operator. We could not confirm the official number of participating series, so the series count in the roster is the result of this site linking each unit to its original series and grouping them. Super Robot Wars MX Portable (MXP) for PSP is a separate game and is only mentioned on this page. This page is not a guide verified through play.

Super Robot Wars MX is the base game released for PlayStation 2 on May 27, 2004. The roster below lets you find units by series group, and it lists base allied units together with enemy, boss, and other units.

Platform and release date of the base game

The official Super Robot Wars lineup lists the base game on PlayStation 2 with a release date of May 27, 2004. The same lineup lists Super Robot Wars MX Portable for PSP as released on December 29, 2005. Portable is a separate game with a different platform and release date, so we did not mix it into the roster on this page. The Portable version is covered when a separate article is written for it. Roster scope

The roster splits the units in the base game by a level 1 grouping (franchise), then groups them in order of participating series. The series count at the top of the roster is the result of linking each unit to its original series and grouping them, so you should not take it as equal to the official number of participating series. Base allied units use large cards, and enemy, boss, and other units use small cards.

The roster has 92 base allied units and 121 enemy and other units. Transformation and combination forms are grouped on the base unit card and shown as 「Forms +N」. Empty cells in the roster are shown as 「·」.

Units and map icons by participating series

The roster is grouped by franchise and, within each franchise, shown in order of participating series. Click a unit name or image to go to this site's unit article, or click a pilot name to go to the pilot article (where an article exists). Units not yet linked to an original series are placed separately in the 「Not linked to an original series」 group.
